Šitbořice cycle ball in summer 2024

The greatest success of Šitbořice cycle ball in recent months is undoubtedly the Czech Youth Championship title, which the Šitbořice team managed to win after exactly ten years. Since this year's Czech Championship finals took place on home ground in Šitbořice, the success of the pair Matěj Šabata and Vojtěch Nečas was all the more valuable. The Šitbořice number one went through the tournament against six other teams without dropping a point, confirming their dominance throughout the season. Šitbořice was also represented at the home tournament by the brotherly pair Vítek and Mikuláš Doležal. Vítek and Mikuláš performed very well and although they finished sixth, the matches were very tight and competitive.

This success suggests that Šitbořice cycle ball is on the right track in the youth categories. The pair Vojtěch Nečas and Matěj Šabata moves up to the older junior category next season, where they will try to achieve similar success. The junior category starts in early October with a qualifying tournament for the 1st League. The goal of the Šitbořice number one Šabata/Nečas is promotion to the 1st League.

In the under-23 category, the Czech Championship finals also took place at the end of June. Šitbořice was represented by the junior pair Dominik Šabata / Šimon Urbánek. Dominik and Šimon finished just off the podium in 4th place. However, they have another 4 seasons ahead in the under-23 category and will fight for the top positions in the coming years.

In the elite category, Šitbořice plays the 1st and 2nd highest leagues this year.
