Silver Medal for Juniors from the Czech Championship Final

Our combined pair Vojtěch Nečas with Matěj Matušinec achieved great success at the Czech Championship finals for juniors, which took place in Zlín. The Šitbořice cycle ball players brought home silver medals.

Nečas with Matušinec (officially competing for Šitbořice/Nezamyslice) had an excellent group stage, which they won with ten points and a score of 16:4. They defeated the home team Zlín-Prštné 2 (6:0), Liberec (5:0) and Sokol Šitbořice (6:0). They drew 3:3 with the tournament favorites from home team Zlín.

In the final, they faced the first team of Zlín-Prštné with the pair Baxa - Struhař. After a balanced match and a 1:1 halftime draw, they eventually lost 2:3 and finished in an excellent second place.

The second Šitbořice pair Vítek Doležal - Matěj Šabata had a difficult group stage. After four defeats against stronger opponents, they finished in fifth place.

Sokol Zlín-Prštné 1 became the Czech Champion for juniors, bronze was won by the second team of Zlín-Prštné after a 4:1 victory over Liberec.

The silver medals are a great success and reward for the hard work of our juniors, who will now participate in the upcoming European Championship at least as substitutes.
