Šitbořice advance from the U23 League preliminary round

Cycle ball players from Šitbořice, Šimon Urbánek and Ondřej Valíček, finished in an excellent fourth place at the U23 League preliminary round in Zlín and secured advancement to the U23 League for 2026. Out of nine competing teams, the top five advanced, and Šitbořice made it into the advancing group with 13 points from four wins and one draw.

The tournament was dominated by the home pair Baxa–Struhař from Zlín-Prštné, who only dropped two points in a draw and won convincingly with a record of 31:10. Second place went to Start Plzeň (Krátký–Plh) with 18 points, while SK Chodov took bronze with 15 points.

The Šitbořice players had competitive matches against the top teams – they drew 3:3 with the eventual winners and showed in other matches that they belong in the U23 League. The fifth advancing spot was secured by Matěj Matušinec with Adam Přikryl from Prima Nezamyslice.

Advancement to the U23 League is an important step for Šitbořice in developing young players in the under-23 category.
