Juniors Started Qualification for 1st League with Fourth Place in Chrastava

On Saturday, October 4th, the 1st junior qualification for promotion to the 1st League in cycle ball took place in Chrastava. Our junior pair Matěj Šabata and Vítek Doležal performed valiantly and achieved 4th place in the overall standings of nine teams with a record of 9 points and a score of 17:16.

The tournament was played in two groups with a subsequent knockout system. In group A, our juniors took an excellent 2nd place, but in the semifinal and the match for 3rd place they were no match for their opponents. The overall victory went to the pair Baxa and Struhař from Sokol Zlín-Prštné 1.

For Šabata and Doležal, it was a good start to the qualification battle. The close score of 17:16 shows how evenly matched the games the boys played were. Every point counted and our juniors proved that they can hold their own against the competition.

The qualification for the junior 1st League continues with another round and the Šitbořice players will want to build on this result. Fourth place from the first qualification tournament is a solid foundation for the fight for promotion to the highest junior competition.
