Silver Start to the Extraliga Season for Šitbořice

Our Extraliga team Martin Drabálek and Robert Zvolánek started the Extraliga season with a brilliant performance. In the opening round of the ŠKODA EXTRALIGA in Plzeň, they achieved an excellent second place.

Our players showed outstanding performances and won four out of six matches.

The Šitbořice pair suffered two narrow defeats against MO Svitávka 1 (4:5) and MO Svitávka 2 (3:4). Despite these setbacks, the Drabálek-Zvolánek duo had an excellent goal difference of 34:19 and secured the silver position with 12 points.

The tournament was won by the Hrdlička ml.-Staněk pair from MO Svitávka 1, who earned 13 points.

The silver position represents an excellent start to the new Extraliga season and also valuable nomination points for the Czech Championship and international competitions. Martin Drabálek and Robert Zvolánek showed that Šitbořice must be taken seriously even in the highest Czech league.

The next Extraliga round will take place on April 26th in Svitávka.
